Privacy policy: email alerts
What we collect when you sign up for price and news alerts, how we use it, and how to stop them at any time.
This page covers the optional email alerts on exoticcartrends.com: daily alerts for the cars you follow and weekly brand roundups. If you never sign up, none of this applies to you.
What we collect
- Your email address, entered by you in a "Get alerts" form.
- What you follow: the models and brands you chose to get alerts for, and your alert settings (new auctions, new listings, price drops, news).
- Consent records: when you signed up and confirmed, and the IP address the request came from, so we can show you asked for the emails.
- Delivery records: which alerts we sent you, and whether they were delivered, opened or had a link clicked. Links to exoticcartrends.com carry campaign tags so we can see which alerts are useful.
We don't ask for your name, phone number, address or payment details.
How we use it
Only to send the alerts you asked for and to improve them. We send at most one alert email a day, plus a weekly roundup for brands you follow.
Double opt-in
Nothing is sent until you click the link in our confirmation email. If you didn't sign up, ignore that email and you won't hear from us.
Unsubscribing and changing your alerts
Every alert has a one-click Unsubscribe link and a Manage alerts link, where you can turn alert types off or stop following a car. Most email apps also show an unsubscribe button for our emails. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
No selling or sharing
We don't sell, rent or share your email address or alert settings with anyone. Our emails don't carry third-party advertising. Your data is stored and the emails are sent using Amazon Web Services, which processes it on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and settings while you're subscribed. Delivery records are deleted after 180 days. After you unsubscribe, we keep only your address and the date you unsubscribed, so we never email you again by mistake. To have it deleted completely, email us.
