Staff posted that the seller used an alternate account to bid on their own auction, restricted the seller’s accounts, and would review related accounts. Follow-up from BaT’s Director of Customer Experience: “restricted” means cannot bid, comment, or sell.
Seller context (FACT)
Listed seller ExoticMotorsAG — Nathan, representing Exotic Motors Midwest. Days earlier the seller publicly said they also run BaT for “MG” and had been bouncing between accounts. That is a seller admission of shared ops. It is separate from BaT naming which username placed the self-bid.
What we are not claiming
Commenters pointed at other handles as the alternate account. BaT did not name that username in the staff posts. Pattern-matching other bidders is allegation unless BaT says so.
