Just four 675LTs are for sale in the US and Canada. The only Spider is an MSO Carbon Series car, one of 25, and its dealer is asking $1,150,075, more than double any coupe.
Only four McLaren 675LTs are listed for sale in the US and Canada right now: three coupes and one Spider. That's fewer than the P1 (5 listed), the Senna (17) or the 765LT (51). And the one Spider isn't an ordinary one. It's a 2016 675LT Spider from McLaren Special Operations' MSO Carbon Series, one of 25 built, and its dealer is asking $1,150,075.
McLaren announced the MSO Carbon Series 675LT Spider in June 2016, limited to 25 cars (evo). This car is finished in blue-tinted exposed carbon, with a natural carbon stripe edged in gold pinstripes, gold wheels and a blue interior. The listing photos show the MSO Carbon Series plaque that marks it as one of the 25.
The 675LT is the car Chris Harris nicknamed the "Baby P1" in 2015.
The Spider is listed at $1,150,075 with 6,123 miles, at McLaren Beverly Hills in Beverly Hills, California (stock CS812). The three coupes ask:
So the Carbon Series Spider is asking more than twice as much as the priciest coupe, and about three times the cheapest. These are asking prices, not sale prices, and one listing can't tell you where the 25 Carbon Series Spiders trade. What the gap does show is how much the seller thinks the MSO spec and the 1-of-25 count add over a standard 675LT.
With so few 675LTs for sale, one listing like this stands out. Would you pay the Carbon Series premium, or take a coupe and keep the difference?
