Ferrari's F80 Is Getting an Even Wilder Version, and It Was Just Caught at Imola

A camouflaged F80 with a giant wing was filmed at Imola. Ferrari hasn't confirmed it, but the trademark filings are fun to read.

Ferrari's wildest hypercar might be getting even wilder. Spotter @imola_spotting filmed a camouflaged, heavily reworked Ferrari F80 lapping Imola, in videos posted Oct 6–7, 2026. And this thing does not look shy.

What the videos show

  • A huge fixed rear wing. No subtle pop-up spoiler here.
  • A sharper nose. A more aggressive front splitter, plus canards on the corners.
  • A bigger diffuser at the back.
  • Exhausts moved up to sit right under the wing.

So what is it?

Ferrari hasn't said a word. But the paperwork is fun to read. Ferrari filed Italian trademark applications for "F80XX" and "FXX80" on May 20, 2026, as reported by duPont REGISTRY and autoevolution. This week, CarBuzz reported a new FXX80 filing in Argentina. A trademark isn't a car, though. Ferrari files names it may never use.

"XX" is Ferrari's ultra-exclusive program for track cars built off its hypercars: the FXX from the Enzo and the FXX-K from the LaFerrari. If this is the F80's turn, it would sit at the very top of Ferrari's collector world.

What we don't know

Pretty much everything that matters. Power, price, how many, and whether it's road legal or track only are all unknown. For scale, the road F80 makes 1,200 cv (about 1,184 hp) and is limited to 799 cars.
