The SLS AMG Black Series is the most extreme road version of the SLS coupe, inspired by the SLS AMG GT3 race car. It was unveiled at the 2012 LA Auto Show and went on sale in June 2013. AMG reworked the 6.2-litre V8 with a new high-speed valvetrain and an 8,000 rpm redline, raising output to 622 hp, which made it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in a production car at the time. Carbon fibre body panels, a titanium exhaust and a lithium-ion battery cut 70 kg from the standard car. It also gained wider flared wings, a carbon fibre bonnet and splitter, ceramic brakes and a fixed carbon rear wing. Car and Driver measured 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, and top speed is 196 mph. Only 132 were built for the US, all 2014 model-year coupes.

Live bids and estimates are shown as each auction house publishes them, in its own currency; a live bid is not a final price. International lots keep their own currency and are never compared with US prices. Results are public auction outcomes (for cars that did not sell, Price is the high bid) and are separate from the asking prices on this page.
