Pagani Huayra R Evo Roadster #6 of 35 makes its public debut in Mexico, with Horacio Pagani on hand
Mexican collector Don Huayra pulled the cover off his track-only Pagani Huayra R Evo Roadster, number 6 of 35, at the Pastejé Automotive Invitational on Oct 24, 2026, with Horacio Pagani beside him. Here's the car, the Petronas-style spec, the three-year backstory and what Huayra R-family cars bring when they change hands.

Pagani's most extreme Huayra has its first home in Mexico. On Oct 24, 2026, the collector known on Instagram as Don Huayra (@don_huayra) pulled the cover off his new Huayra R Evo Roadster at the Pastejé Automotive Invitational, with company founder Horacio Pagani there for the reveal, duPont Registry reported. It is the track-only, long-tail Huayra Pagani built for its Arte in Pista owners' program, and this one is number 6 of 35.
The invitation-only Pastejé show filled a lawn with heavy hitters, including a McLaren F1, Ferrari F40, McLaren Speedtail, Zagato Capricorn 01, Hennessey Venom F5, Czinger 21C and Aston Martin Valhalla, according to duPont Registry. The silver Pagani was one of the cars drawing the most attention.

The car: silver, carbon and a lot of teal
Don Huayra specified his car in silver with large areas of exposed carbon fiber and teal accents on the front aero, mirrors, wheels, side skirts, rear bodywork, diffuser and rear wing. The look is a clear nod to the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team (duPont Registry, The Supercar Blog). It's not the first Pagani to wear it: the Huayra L'Ultimo, the 100th and final Huayra coupe, delivered to Brett David of Prestige Imports in Miami in 2018, used the same F1-inspired theme. The link fits, since the R Evo's V12 was developed with HWA AG, the motorsport firm founded by AMG co-founder Hans Werner Aufrecht (AutoNext).
A numbered plaque signed by Horacio Pagani confirms the build number: 6 of 35.

Three years from wish to delivery
The story starts on June 20, 2023, at a Pagani track day at Imola, when Don Huayra posted, "It would be nice to have an R in Mexico, wouldn't it?" (ItalPassion). Pagani didn't reveal the R Evo Roadster until Feb 8, 2024, and the model made its first public dynamic appearance at MIMO in 2025. The finished car arrived in Mexico this month. In the days before the show, its owner shared the first photos and then a teaser from its first track day at the private Mexico Drive Resort circuit (The Supercar Blog, ItalPassion).
He already owns one of the deepest hypercar collections in the region. ItalPassion lists a McLaren F1 and an F1 "HDK," a McLaren Sabre, Senna and Speedtail, a Zagato Capricorn 01, a Pagani Utopia Roadster and a long list of Ferraris. The Supercar Blog notes he also recently added the one-off Bugatti Chiron Vivere by Mansory. Unlike almost everything else in his garage, the R Evo Roadster can't be registered for the road.
Pastejé, now in its eighth edition, is held at Rancho Santa Cruz de Marroquín on the Hacienda Pastejé estate in Jocotitlán, State of Mexico. It's private: no tickets are sold, owners drive their cars in, and the show gathers more than 300 collector, luxury and performance cars across five categories (Pastejé Automotive Invitational, To Fly 7). duPont Registry says it has grown considerably since the first one in 2019.
What makes the R Evo Roadster different
The Huayra R launched in March 2021 as Pagani's first track-only Huayra: 850 hp, a 9,000 rpm redline, 1,050 kg dry, 30 cars at a base price of €2.6 million plus tax (Pagani). The R Evo Roadster pushes every part of that further. Pagani says the idea came to Horacio Pagani at an IndyCar race in Nashville, watching cars run with Aeroscreens. That led to polycarbonate protection around the cockpit and two removable roof panels. The long-tail body draws on Le Mans prototypes from the 1960s and '70s (Pagani).
Engine: Pagani V12-R Evo, a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 developed with HWA AG. 900 hp at 8,750 rpm and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) from 5,800 to 8,200 rpm, with a 9,200 rpm redline. New intake trumpets and camshafts over the Huayra R's 850 hp V12-R.
Gearbox: six-speed sequential dog-ring box with a three-plate sintered racing clutch. The gearbox weighs 80 kg (176 lb) and is a structural part of the car.
Weight and size: 1,060 kg (2,337 lb) dry. 5,180 mm (203.9 in) long, 2,077 mm wide.
Aero: the splitter is 101 mm longer and the codalunga tail adds 190 mm. Pagani claims 45% more downforce and 21% better aero efficiency than before. At 199 mph in a low setup it makes more downforce than the car weighs, and taking the roof panels off adds another 5%.
Chassis: heave dampers added front and rear, Brembo CCM-R carbon-ceramic brakes (410 mm front, 390 mm rear) and Pirelli P Zero slicks on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels.
Top speed: 350 km/h (218 mph). Pagani says it can match the pace of current LMP2 race cars.
Central quad exhausts, a teal-edged diffuser and the codalunga tail.
Price and production
Production is capped at 35 cars, and Auto Bild reports they're all sold. Coverage of this car puts its value at about €3.2 million (ItalPassion, Autoblog). Auto Bild lists the base price as €3.85 million before tax, or €4.58 million with German VAT (Auto Bild). Auto Bild also says Pagani is offering the 30 Huayra R owners two upgrade paths: the mechanical package alone, or a full conversion to the long tail. The removable roof panels stay exclusive to the R Evo Roadster because they depend on its new chassis.
Built for Arte in Pista, Pagani's private track program.
Owners don't race these cars. They drive them at Arte in Pista, a program Pagani started in 2021 with non-competitive events at FIA circuits around the world. Pagani brings engineers, mechanics and professional drivers who coach the owners. Don Huayra's teaser from his first track day suggests he plans to use the car:
A debut like this does more than show off one car. It puts a North American R Evo Roadster in a strong collection with the factory's blessing, since Horacio Pagani was there in person. The car is fully specified, documented and already being driven on track, and that history matters for track-only cars. The Petronas theme also ties it to L'Ultimo, one of the best-known Huayras ever built.
Analysis
What it means for buyers
Expect very few public sales. With all 35 sold and a three-year wait, R Evo Roadsters will mostly change hands privately for now. We haven't seen one at a public auction yet.
The closest benchmark is the original Huayra R. It has sold for €3,042,500 at RM Sotheby's Paris (Feb 2025), $3,030,000 at Bonhams Quail (Aug 15, 2025) and CHF 2,367,500 at RM Sotheby's Zurich (Oct 11, 2025). For comparison, its launch price was €2.6 million plus tax.
Upgraded Huayra Rs will complicate comparisons. A Huayra R converted to Evo spec isn't the same car as a factory R Evo Roadster. Ask which upgrade was done and whether the car has the Roadster's chassis and removable roof.
Track-only cars need records. Engine rebuild intervals, factory support history and Arte in Pista use matter more for these cars than mileage does.
