Pagani builds almost nothing that isn't personalized, but this Utopia goes further than most. Florida collector Kris Singh took delivery of a one-off coupe finished in Karosserie Lunar Gold, a paint made with ground moon rock and 24-karat gold bar shavings, at the 2026 Pagani Raduno Vanishing Point owners' rally in Sicily, autoevolution and Supercar Blondie reported on October 12.
Singh calls the car Madonna of the Car Nation, a play on Leonardo da Vinci's *Madonna of the Carnation*. The gold shade is inspired by the one Leonardo used, and the name is lettered in gold script on the front splitter.
An idea that started with a Valkyrie
The project is eight years old. According to autoevolution, Singh bought a piece of lunar rock in early 2018 and later that year announced a moon-dust paint with Pennsylvania refinisher Karosserie, originally called Lunar Red and planned for an Aston Martin Valkyrie. By 2024 the Valkyrie plan had fallen through, and Singh moved the project to Pagani, where he was already a long-time customer. Somewhere along the way the red became gold.
Supercar Blondie says developing the finish took about three years and that the lunar material alone reportedly cost more than $4 million. That figure comes from reports, not an invoice, and autoevolution does not repeat it, so treat it as a claim rather than a fact.
Paint: Karosserie Lunar Gold, made with ground moon rock and 24K gold bar shavings.
Cabin: black leather with gold stitching and patterned gold-and-black seats. Singh worked with designer Pandragram on the interior, per Supercar Blondie.
Gold hardware: the gear lever of the seven-speed manual, the pedals and the gauge rims are finished in 24K gold.
Mechanicals: standard Utopia, a 6.0-liter twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG V12 driving the rear wheels. Outlets quote 852 to 864 hp.
It joins a Pagani collection that already includes the Huayra BC *Macchina Volante*, the Huayra *La Mona Lisa* and a Zonda Cinque, according to both outlets.
Where Utopia values stand
Pagani planned 99 Utopia coupes and 130 Roadsters. Car and Driver lists the coupe's US starting price at about $2.19 million and the Roadster's at about $3.4 million. On the open market, a 2024 Utopia coupe sold for $3,267,500 at RM Sotheby's in October 2025. In the US and Canada right now we see just one Utopia offered by a dealer, a 2024 coupe in Florida listed as call for price, plus a 2024 coupe consigned to Mecum's Kissimmee sale in January 2027.
Analysis
Our take
This is a story about one owner, not a shift in the market. Still, it shows why the Utopia trades above its original price: Pagani sells personalization as the product, and buyers treat these cars as one-of-one commissions. The paint is a headline grabber, but the bigger story is how much custom work Pagani will take on for a top customer.
Analysis
What it means for buyers
Heavy personalization is a double-edged sword. It can make a car famous, but extreme one-offs appeal to fewer buyers when they're sold.
The useful benchmark is the $3.27 million RM Sotheby's result, not headline paint costs. Watch the Mecum Kissimmee Utopia in January for the next public price.
US supply is very thin. Expect most Utopias to change hands privately or at major auctions.
