Lamborghini Revuelto prototype with a giant wing: SVJ, or the facelift?

A camouflaged Revuelto with a huge fixed wing was filmed near Lamborghini's Sant'Agata factory on Oct 27, 2026. Lamborghini says there's no SVJ coming in the Revuelto's first half, and early reporting points to the mid-life update instead. Here's what we know and what we don't.

Lamborghini is testing yet another version of its V12 flagship. On Oct 27, 2026, spotter VarryX posted a video filmed around Sant'Agata Bolognese, Lamborghini's home town, showing a Revuelto prototype in swirl camouflage with a tall, fixed swan-neck rear wing. VarryX titled it "Is This the NEW Lamborghini Revuelto SVJ?" The answer isn't settled. Lamborghini has said there will be no SVJ in this half of the Revuelto's life, and the first outlet to dig into the photos, The Supercar Blog, thinks it's more likely the updated Revuelto due around 2028.

Video: VarryX (@varryx_). The winged prototype appears at about 0:16.

What VarryX filmed

The car looks a lot like the Revuelto SV Lamborghini revealed in August, with a bigger front splitter, side skirts and a reworked rear diffuser. According to The Supercar Blog, a few details set it apart from the SV:

  • A taller rear wing. Similar in design to the SV's fixed wing, but it stands higher.
  • A new vent on top of each rear fender. The Supercar Blog says this first showed up on the earlier facelift test car.
  • Concave wheels that don't match the current Revuelto or SV designs.

In the footage you can also see black wheels, yellow brake calipers and twin hexagonal exhausts mounted high in the rear bumper. Lamborghini hasn't commented on the car.

With and without the camouflage

To show the shape under the wrap, we made AI renders from VarryX's frames with the camouflage removed. They're our interpretation, not photos. Anything hidden under the wrap, like vents, light shapes and panel lines, is a guess and shouldn't be read as a confirmed feature.

A second test car, without the big wing

The same video shows a second camouflaged Revuelto without the big fixed wing. That fits earlier reporting on a Revuelto facelift test car. Autoblog and SlashGear described a prototype with a reworked front, a new rear diffuser and decals that only imitate the Revuelto's Y-shaped lights. SlashGear pointed out it had no fixed wing like the SV's. AutoIndustriya said the update could debut around mid-2027. Autoblog expects it roughly a year from now, if not early 2028, and The Supercar Blog says 2028.

Where the Revuelto SV fits

Lamborghini unveiled the Revuelto SV on Aug 14, 2026, at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. It's the fifth Super Veloce model and the most powerful production Lamborghini yet. Its V12 and three electric motors make 1,065 metric horsepower (about 1,050 hp), and Lamborghini quotes 0 to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds (Lamborghini). Production is limited to 1,963 cars. Autocar reports that it makes 80% more downforce than the standard Revuelto, thanks partly to a fixed rear wing that replaces the regular car's moving one. MotorTrend lists a US starting price of $749,667 including the gas-guzzler tax, with first deliveries in early 2027.

That matters here. The SV already has a fixed wing and a more aggressive body, so a wing on its own doesn't mean a new, harder model. The prototype's details are what stand out: a taller wing, a fender vent and different wheels.

What Lamborghini has said about an SVJ

After the SV's reveal, Lamborghini's sales and marketing chief Federico Foschini told CarExpert that the Revuelto would follow the Aventador's pattern. The SV came in the first half of the Aventador's life and the SVJ in the second.

But for sure, in this half of the life cycle, we are not having on top on this SV also an SVJ.

— Federico Foschini, Lamborghini chief marketing and sales officer, to CarExpert

He didn't rule an SVJ out later. The Revuelto was revealed in 2023, and if the mid-life update arrives around 2027 or 2028, the second half of its life starts then. Autoblog's guess is that the facelift itself may be sold under a new name, possibly "Revuelto S", with more power, much like the Urus became the Urus SE (Autoblog).

Market perspective

Our Oct 27, 2026 US and Canada listing data shows 74 Revueltos for sale, with a middle asking price of about $695,000 (range about $590,000 to $950,000). On Oct 11, 2026, we counted 57 cars at about $681,000. More cars are listed now, so the small rise reflects which cars are on sale as much as any price change. These are asking prices, not sales. No Revuelto SVs were listed, since deliveries haven't started.

Analysis

Our take

So is it an SVJ or the facelift? Honestly, we can't tell yet. Here's the case each way.

  • For the facelift (or a facelift-based model): Lamborghini's sales chief has said no SVJ above the SV in this half of the car's life. The fender vent matches the earlier facelift test car, and The Supercar Blog leans this way.
  • For something harder: the tall fixed wing, deeper splitter and new wheels go further than a regular mid-life update usually would. An SVJ (or another name) for the second half of the Revuelto's life could start out looking like this.
  • Most likely in our view: an updated Revuelto body wearing parts from a sportier version. That's still a guess.

What would settle it is clearer photos of the front lights and diffuser compared with the facelift car, or word from Lamborghini on the facelift's name and timing. Which do you think it is?

Analysis

What it means for buyers

  • Revuelto SV buyers: Lamborghini's own statement puts any SVJ in the second half of the car's life, so the SV should stay the top Revuelto for now.
  • Shopping a used Revuelto: an update reported for 2027 or 2028 could change how the current car is valued. Compare cars spec for spec on our Revuelto price page.
  • Waiting for an SVJ: nothing is confirmed. There's no name, power figure, price or date, so don't plan around one yet.

What to watch

  • Clearer photos showing whether this car has the facelift's new lights and front bumper.
  • Lamborghini's name and timing for the updated Revuelto.
  • Any change in how Lamborghini talks about an SVJ once the second half of the Revuelto's life begins.
  • Revuelto SV deliveries in early 2027, and the first SV listings. See our hybrid-era analysis for how V12 values have held so far.
